Aftercare

Take off the second skin 48 hours after it's been applied. Take it off in the shower pulling down. 

Reasons to take it off early

It's leaking.

Some of your tattoo isn't completely covered.

You are having an allergic reaction.

Once off you will clean the tattoo 2-3 times a day with non-scented soap. Let the tattoo air dry for 5-10 minutes before applying a non-scented lotion. Aveeno, or Lubriderm is recommended.

I recommend cleaning it and putting lotion on your tattoo for a full 4 weeks. Lotion is recommended daily, forever. Sun block is also highly recommended after the initial healing phase. 

Some scabbing and flaking is normal. Redness, bruising, and swelling can also be normal.

Please stay out of the sun while healing your tattoo,

 or wear something loose that covers your tattoo while in the sun.

Do not submerge your tattoo in ANY bodies of water.

That includes but is not limited to, oceans, lakes, rivers, baths, sinks, swamps etc.

Do not exfoliate while your tattoo is healing.

Do not apply any scented lotions or anything containing alchohol onto your healing tattoo.

Exercise. 

Do not let your pet lick it. 

4-6 weeks. Could be longer depending on health and age. Certain conditions can cause healing times to extend past the average, which also increases the need for a touch up.
